Breguet Railway Telegraph receiver used as signalling equipment on the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway.
It is an early example of telegraphic signalling equipment used on the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway which ran through Salford stations.
The Breguet Railway Telegraph receiver uses modified clock technology. Breguet was clockmaker before branching out into telegraphic equipment. It is an ‘ABC telegraph’ which required very little operator training that became popular with the railways.
